Privacy Policy
This policy covers both halves of Cord: the Mac app, and the Android app “Cord: More screen for your Mac” (com.nonbannawat.cord). Cord is made by NonDev (Non Bannawat).
Cord does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
What travels, and where. The picture of the extra display goes from your Mac to your tablet over the USB cable. Your touches go back the same way. Neither is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere else.
The Mac app uses two macOS permissions:
- Screen Recording: to send the picture of the extra display that Cord itself creates. Your other displays are not captured.
- Accessibility: to turn touches on the tablet into clicks and scrolling on the Mac, and to carry the pointer between the displays when “Keep Dock on Main Display” is on. Nothing you type or click is logged.
The Mac app never connects to the internet.
The Android app keeps two things in its own storage on the tablet: how much of your free trial you have used, and whether you have unlocked the app. Android may include that storage in your device's own backup to your Google account. The app holds Android's network permission for one reason: a developer-only connection mode that reaches the Mac through the cable. The app sends nothing to the internet itself.
Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. Cord asks Google Play whether your account owns the unlock, and nothing more. Cord never sees your name, email address, or payment details. Google's own privacy policy applies to the purchase.
Children. Cord is a utility for general audiences and is not directed at children.
